Happy Easter + Passover weekend!
Sales were robust in Q1 for all property types, but the supply of house listings in particular was very low. However, as of March 31st, mortgage interest rates have skyrocketed 50% in 2022, with a particularly large jump in March. Because of the time involved in the home-buying process - the search, loan qualification, going into contract, escrow, closing sale - any significant effects of the recent spike won't show up until Q2.

The biggest story at the Oscars this year was the 'slap' seen around the world, but I'd rather talk about the film, FLEE.
Nominated in three categories, Best International Film, Animation and Documentary, FLEE follows the story of a man who shares his hidden past of fleeing his country for the first time. It explores the trauma of being forced to leave your home and the difficult circumstances faced by refugees. With everything going on in the world, this powerful film really hits home.

People head to Lokma’s Outer Richmond location for the Turkish Breakfast, which is exactly how it landed on Eater SF's current Brunch map but I highly recommend this quaint neighborhood spot for dinner. We went recently on a bustling Monday night and I was instantly charmed. Great atmosphere, attentive service and delicious food, 5 Stars!
