The impacts of this year's severe economic headwinds - soaring inflation and interest rates, stock market declines, fears of recession - on Bay Area real estate markets are speeding up. It took a few months from when the big economic changes began, but the high year-over-year appreciation rates of recent years are now dropping fast in Bay Area markets - and in San Francisco, the rate turned slightly negative in June - though the degree of any actual, longer-term "correction" to prices, if it occurs, remains to be seen.

Goodbye, Trouble Coffee & Hello, DamnFine Coffee
After 15 years, beloved anti-establishment, Trouble Coffee has closed in the Outer Sunset. Famous for their coffee, fresh coconuts, and thick cinnamon sugar toast, Trouble is often credited with being the birthplace of the artisanal toast trend. Our friends at DAMNFiNE Pizza have taken over the location and are serving their version of toast (think Seasonal Peach & Thyme or Avo on homemade focaccia) as well as baked goods from BlackJet Baker in Bernal. Plans include pizza by the slice, so don't expect the line out the door to go away anytime soon.

Presidio Tunnel Tops is officially open for all to enjoy.
It’s free, easy, and open every day for everyone to enjoy. It’s built on top of the Presidio Parkway tunnels, with Ah-mazing Golden Gate views. It has places to be in nature, picnic sites, lawns and gathering spaces, an incredible nature play space for kids, vibrant murals, delicious food (daily) representing the Bay Area's diverse cultures and cuisines, live performances and music, campfire talks with rangers, and much more.
