Home prices rose a whopping 18.8% in 2021, according to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller US National Home Price Index, the biggest increase in 34 years of data and substantially ahead of 2020's 10.4% gain.
All regions saw price gains last year, but increases were strongest in the South and the Southeast, each of which were up over 25%.
We are only two months into the new year and there are no signs of the market slowing. If you are considering buying or selling in 2022, now is a great time.
